In 2012-2014, PARTS will organise the Research cycle under its current model. The Research Cycle is open for dancers and choreographers who have obtained a BA in dance in other institutions. Preselections will be organised in different European cities and in New York between February and April 2012 (dates and places to be announced in January). One can also apply through a written dossier. The final audition will take place in Brussels April 13-16.
More information on the Research Cycle audition can be found on the page ‘How to become a student’.
No auditions for Training cycle in 2012
In the school year 2012-2013 there will be no Training program. Consequently, there will be no auditions for the Training cycle in Spring 2012. See below for more information.
PARTS announces new structure of the program from 2013 onwards
From September 2013 onwards, PARTS will introduce a new structure for its curriculum. The current structure of two years Training cycle and two years Research cycle will be replaced by a three-year Training program. The Research program will still consist of two years, but will be redefined.
The Training program aims to educate dancers and choreographers who are ready to take a personal and independent position in the international field of contemporary dance when they graduate after three years.
The three-year program will start only every three years. It will be organised for the first time in September 2013.
Auditions for this program will be organised in the Spring of 2013.
The two-year Research program is destined to dance-makers and choreographers who have after higher education and/or professional experience feel the need to dig deeper into their own position and tools. The program starts from a studio practice and aims to balance collective and collaborative working formats with individual research and development.
The Research program will also be organised once every three years, with always a break of one year in between. The first new Research program will start in February 2014, for which there will be auditions in the Fall of 2013.
In 2012-2014, there will be a last Research cycle under its current definition, for which there will be auditions in the spring of 2012 (see above)
More details on the new programs will be announced on the PARTS website in Spring 2012.
